Wall bed with sofa
The living room in a small apartment plays a representative role. It’s where we receive guests, relax after work, watch movies, and spend time with family. At the same time, in many layouts, it’s the only place where a bedroom can be created. Traditional solutions force compromises. A sofa bed rarely provides the comfort of a full-size bed. A fixed bed takes away from the living space. That’s why we designed a wall bed with a sofa that preserves the character of the living room while offering a comfortable sleeping space in the evenings without making makeshift solutions.
During the day, the user enjoys a comfortable sofa with a stable structure and a carefully contoured seat. The backrest provides back support, and the furniture’s proportions complement the aesthetics of a modern interior. In the evening, the sofa interacts with the bed mechanism in one smooth movement. The design is designed to prevent interference. There’s no need to remove cushions or move heavy segments. The system operates predictably, maintaining complete stability. The sofa-bed solves the real problem of limited space. It allows for open space during the day and provides regeneration on a full-size mattress at night. The bed frame is based on proven steel solutions. A gas mechanism facilitates folding and unfolding. The entire unit has been tested for years of use. This is a piece of furniture that works daily. In a small apartment, there’s no room for failure.
Aesthetics remain as important as function. The front of the unit can take the form of a minimalist panel, a built-in shelf, or an elegant wall unit. The sofa is available in a variety of fabrics, from muted shades to more vibrant colors. This allows the sofa bed to blend into the interior design rather than dominate it. This solution is for those who don’t want to sacrifice comfort or aesthetics. Space becomes more flexible without compromising the quality of everyday life.
Horizontal wall bed with sofa
Room layouts can be challenging. Low wall height, sloped ceilings, windows in unusual locations – each of these elements influences the design. In such situations, a horizontal wall bed with a sofa is a well-thought-out alternative to vertical models. The structure extends along the wall, eliminating the need for significant height. This solution is particularly useful in attics, youth rooms, and small living rooms. A horizontal wall bed with a sofa maintains full-size sleeping comfort. The mattress rests on a stable frame, and the mechanism operates smoothly and effortlessly. The sofa remains an integral part of the system. Its design is tailored to the geometry of the bed. There are no random proportions. Each element was created with harmony between daytime and nighttime functions in mind. During the day, the user gains a comfortable place to sit. In the evening, the space transforms. The transformation mechanism requires no complicated steps. The entire operation is intuitive. In a small apartment, every movement counts. That’s why we design systems that don’t burden the user. The stability of the structure translates into a sense of security. Sleep takes place on a full-fledged bed, not on a compromise surface.
A horizontal half-bed with a sofa works well in investment properties, rental apartments, and homes where the living room serves multiple functions. It’s a solution for those conscious of space limitations but unwilling to compromise. The space can be elegant during the day and private at night. Transformation happens without chaos. We design a system that organizes everyday life and allows you to regain control over every square meter.
Wall beds with a sofa – application
The standard horizontal sofa bed offers a sleeping area of 140×200 cm or 160×200 cm. When folded, it measures approximately 220 cm in length and 40-50 cm in depth, depending on the sofa configuration chosen. Its built-in height ranges from 200 to 230 cm, allowing for installation even in rooms with a standard ceiling height of 250 cm. The vertical model requires a minimum wall height of 220 cm and a space in front of the sofa of approximately 200 cm when unfolded.

The minimum space required for a vertical model to unfold is 210 cm in front of the furniture. Once unfolded, the bed extends perpendicularly to the wall, so it cannot collide with other furniture. In open-plan living rooms, a horizontal wall bed allows for easy circulation – the bed extends along the wall, not blocking the passage to the kitchen or bathroom.
Smart bed with sofa – comparison with alternative solutions
An American-style sofa bed offers a sleeping surface created by folding out the seat and backrest. The mattress is 8-10 cm thick and is supported by Bonnell or wave springs. After a few months of daily use, the mechanism begins to cause problems – the components loosen, and the sleeping surface becomes uneven. This becomes noticeable after just one week. A half-bed with a sofa eliminates this problem – a full-size mattress on a stable steel frame ensures spine regeneration. Sleep quality translates into well-being during the day.
A traditional 160×200 cm box spring bed is standard in the bedroom. However, in the living room, it takes up space that serves no other purpose. In a 35 m² apartment, this arrangement means forgoing a dining area or comfortable lounge area. A wall bed with a sofa allows for the same sleeping dimensions, and during the day, it offers seating for three or four people. This space is utilized more efficiently, without sacrificing nighttime comfort. A corner sofa bed is another popular solution. The bedding storage located under the seat requires lifting a heavy section. The mattress unfolds after extending the lower section, which means moving the coffee table. The entire process takes a few minutes and requires physical strength. The wall bed with a sofa unfolds in a single movement, without using up any additional space in front of the furniture. The gas mechanism eliminates effort, and bedding can be stored in dedicated side compartments.
A Murphy bed without a sofa requires space in front of the furniture to be fully extended. During the day, this creates an empty space in front of the furniture, which is difficult to utilize. A wall bed with a sofa transforms this space into a functional seating area. The sofa doesn’t stand alone—it’s an integral part of the system. This means fewer elements to arrange and less visual clutter.
