A horizontally hidden bed is perhaps best associated with the 70’s and 80’s, when the so-called half-pasts experienced their renaissance.
They were most often equipment for children’s and youth rooms, the smallest of small rooms of contemporary houses. Due to the limited number of variants, the housing made the children’s rooms similar to each other. And the mechanisms of these beds … well, they left a lot to be desired.
Today, wall beds are going through a great “come back”. And thanks to the rich design, there are virtually no two similar projects and implementations.
An undeniable advantage of a concealed bed horizontally is easy service even for the youngest. That is why they appeared again in the youth rooms. Though not only. What advantages does such a bed have?

- comfortable use for the elderly and with limited mobility
- perfect integration into a low-rise room
- saving space
- a comfortable and optically delicate room with small size

- additional functions of the bed in the living space – versions with a desk or sofa

The bed legs open and level automatically, and inside the mechanism there is a steel frame and frame made of beech slats. They have a Sambella mattress on them. A mattress that meets all the needs of not only the user, but a well-structured concealed bed.
All of these advantages have a horizontally hidden bed Transforms – Smartbed O. Here is one of the newest implementations.
